Christopher Hughes, M.D, F.C.C.P.
Dr. Christopher Hughes is a Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist who is
board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He received his medical
degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and then completed his Internal Medicine residency at
St. John Hospital. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Henry Ford
Hospital, Detroit. Special interests include diagnoses and treatment of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung
disease, and cough.
Dr. Hughes is also a Clinical Professor of the Department of Medicine at Wayne State University and has been a
St. John Hospital & Medical Center (SJHMC) staff physician since 1989. Dr. Hughes is Assistant Medical Director
of Intensive Care at SJHMC. He is the Past President of the Medical Staff at SJHMC and serves as Medical Director
of Triumph Hospital, Detroit. He is also on staff at a number of other hospitals in the area.
Dr. Hughes sees patients in the outpatient setting at our St. Clair Shores office.
