Matthew Trunsky, M.D., F.C.C.P.
Dr. Matthew Trunsky is a Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist who is
board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative
Medicine. He received his medical degree from The University of Michigan Medical School and then
completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics.
Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern Memorial
Hospital in Chicago.
Special interests include the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, COPD, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, and
lung cancer. He also has a special interest in clinical ethics and serves as Chairman of the Patient Rights
and Clinical Ethics Committees of William Beaumont Hospital, Troy.
Dr. Trunsky is also the Medical Director of ICU at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy, his primary hospital.
He is also on staff at a number of other hospitals in the area and provides both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary
