Dr. Mihai Iliesiu
(pronounced /me'hi L/S/U)
received his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj, Romania. At St. John Hospital &
Medical Center, Detroit, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He then
subspecialized in Pulmonary and Critical Care during his fellowship at the University of Texas, Houston. During
that time, he participated in clinical lung cancer research and developed advanced bronchoscopy sills at MD
Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Iliesiu joined the ranks of Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates upon completion of his training and
practices at Troy Beaumont Hospital. His special interests include: benign lung nodules, chest/lung malignancies,
pleural effusions and emphysema. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the International
Association for The Study of Lung Cancer.
