Samuel Allen, D.O., F.C.C.P.
Dr. Samuel Allen is a Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist who is board
certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He received his medical degree
from The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed his Internal Medicine internship at Mount
Clemens General Hospital and his residency training at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Thereafter, he
completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Dr. Allen serves as the Medical Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Center and Physician Champion for Gift of
Life Michigan at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. He is actively involved in many Pulmonary Hypertension research
trials at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy, and serves as a reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Allen
provides both inpatient and outpatient consultations and he is also on staff at a number of other hospitals in the
His clinical interests include pulmonary arterial hypertension, advanced diagnostic airway procedures for lung
cancer, interstitial lung disease, and the critical care management of seriously ill patients.
