Dr. Kousha received his medical degree from Tishreen University where he proudly graduated at the top of the class. He completed Internal Medicine training at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC completing internship and residency followed by an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. He completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kousha is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Internal Medicine. He has special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, fibrotic lung diseases, and placement of endobronchial Zephyr valves for COPD patients with advanced lung emphysema.
Dr. Kousha is the Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, the Medical Director of ICU at Corewell Grosse Pointe and is core faculty in the Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship Program at Ascension Detroit.
He personally enjoys swimming, table tennis, flower gardening and traveling with his family.
He practices at Ascension Detroit, Corewell Grosse Pointe, Select Specialty Grosse Pointe and sees all Pulmonary and Critical Care patients.
